The Covenant They Chose

What happens when God invites us closer, but fear convinces us to keep our distance? At Mount Sinai, God offered Israel His presence, His voice, and direct access to Him as a kingdom of priests. But instead of drawing near, they stepped back and asked Moses to stand between them and God.

We still face that same tension today. Rules, religion, and someone else’s faith can feel safer than truly knowing God for ourselves. But through Jesus, the veil has been removed. We are no longer kept at a distance we are welcomed as sons and daughters, invited to hear His voice, know His heart, and carry His presence into the world.
